WHO WE ARE
STEM4Hope is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide free STEM education to hospitalized kids who are unable to attend school. For many of these kids, long hospital stays mean isolation from friends, classmates, and the joys of childhood. STEM4Hope aims to change that by creating interactive, hands-on learning experiences that go beyond education—we’re building connections, fostering creativity, and bringing smiles to young faces through science. Through fun science projects, group activities, and engaging lessons, we give these kids an opportunity to explore, collaborate, and rediscover the joy of learning alongside their peers. It’s not just about education—it’s about giving them a sense of normalcy, sparking their curiosity, and reminding them that they are capable of amazing things.

OUR STORY
STEM4Hope is a nonprofit organization founded by Lola Aouizerate, a current senior at Miami Beach Senior High School. Established at the age of 16, the initiative was created with the mission of using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to inspire hope and curiosity in children facing difficult circumstances.
What began as a small project has since grown into a structured nonprofit with a dedicated board of directors and a team of volunteers who sign up monthly to carry out its mission. Today, STEM4HOPE brings interactive STEM programs to hospitals, guided by the belief that education can serve as both empowerment and encouragement. Through this work, the organization continues to expand its reach, providing children with opportunities to explore, discover, and imagine brighter futures.
WHAT WE DO
STEM4Hope brings hands-on STEM education to kids who are often left out of traditional learning spaces. Through engaging activities, interactive STEM Kits, and in-person visits, we make science fun, accessible, and meaningful.
We visit pediatric hospitals to deliver creative science experiences that brighten long stays and help kids feel like kids again.
To fund our mission, we host RUN4HOPE—a series of fun runs and 5Ks that unite the community around health, hope, and education. Every step helps us reach more kids with the power of science.
